Covid-19 – Impact & Response
The Norfolk Wherry Trust is, like all responsible organisations, following government advice about the Covid-19 virus. The safety and health of charter and day cruise passengers and the NWT volunteers and visitors is of paramount importance. Changes have had to be made to the operational schedule. More details can be found here.
Public Open Days
Albion, a Norfolk wherry, celebrating her 122nd birthday in 2020 was built as a cargo carrying sailing barge and rescued by Norfolk Wherry Trust in 1949, and maintained in sailing condition by volunteers ever since. She has a vast black sail and her hull measures some 60′ long by 15′ wide. Voted ‘runner up’ Flagship of the Year by National Historic Ships in 2010, she has featured in TV programmes hosted by Matt Baker and Giles Coren and hosted Timothy West and Prunella Scales in an episode of Great Canal Journeys. Come and see the Broads icon that enchanted them.
